This Privacy Policy describes how Wandering Merchant AI L.L.C. ("we," "us," or "our") collects, uses, and protects your information when you use Wandering Merchant AI (the "Service").
1. Information We Collect
We collect the following types of information: (a) Account information: your name, email address, and password when you register. (b) Profile information: seller preferences, onboarding responses, and marketplace connections. (c) Product data: images you upload, AI-generated listing drafts, and inventory data. (d) Billing information: processed securely through Stripe; we do not store your full credit card details. (e) Usage data: how you interact with the Service, including feature usage and analytics events.
2. How We Use Your Information
We use your information to: (a) provide and maintain the Service; (b) process AI-generated listing drafts from your uploaded images; (c) manage your subscription and billing; (d) connect to and interact with marketplace APIs on your behalf; (e) communicate with you about your account, updates, and support; (f) improve our Service through analytics and product development; and (g) comply with legal obligations.
3. Data Sharing and Third Parties
We do not sell your personal information. We share data with the following service providers: (a) Stripe for payment processing; (b) Marketplace APIs (eBay, Mercari, Etsy, Shopify, Facebook) when you connect your accounts and publish listings; (c) AI providers for image analysis and listing generation; (d) Google Analytics for usage analytics; (e) Cloud infrastructure providers for hosting and storage. Each provider has its own privacy policy governing data they receive.
4. AI Processing
When you upload product photos, we send them to AI models for analysis — including identification, OCR, current eBay listing price research, and listing generation. Your images and generated content are stored in your account and are not used to train third-party AI models. Processing occurs on secure cloud infrastructure.
5. Marketplace Account Data
When you connect a marketplace account, we store OAuth tokens and account metadata needed to manage your listings. We access your marketplace data only to perform actions you request (creating drafts, publishing listings, syncing status). We do not access or store data from your marketplace account beyond what is necessary to provide the Service.
6. Data Security
We implement industry-standard security measures including encrypted data transmission (TLS), secure token storage, and access controls. OAuth tokens for marketplace connections are stored encrypted. While we strive to protect your data, no method of transmission over the Internet is 100% secure.
7. Data Retention
We retain your account data for as long as your account is active. Product images and listing drafts are retained until you delete them. Upon account cancellation, your data is retained for 30 days to allow for reactivation, after which it is permanently deleted. Billing records are retained as required by law.
8. Your Rights
Depending on your jurisdiction, you may have the right to: (a) access the personal data we hold about you; (b) request correction of inaccurate data; (c) request deletion of your data; (d) export your data; (e) object to certain processing activities. 10. Children’s Privacy
The Service is not directed to children under 13 (or the minimum age in your jurisdiction). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe we have collected data from a child, please contact us immediately.
11. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Material changes will be communicated via email or in-app notification. Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
